In the summer of 2019…I had the pleasure to be an extra in a few scenes in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom starring Chadwick Boseman and Viola Davis.
However, my debut on the big screen did not start off so pretty. I was called to do the opening scene but did not realize it was filmed overnight. To say that I was not a happy camper is an understatement.
Nevertheless, I had to get myself together and make the most of it. My decision to check my attitude at the door before the scene, put me in a better place and got me through the overnight scene with a good attitude and the opportunity to participate in the last movie ever made by Chadwick Boseman!
In response to my experience, I wrote: Check Your Attitude at the Door. Shortly after my post, a lady commented on my blog with this message:
‘When you change the way you see things, the things you see will change…. it’s all about the attitude’-Sharon
I could not agree more with Sharon! We all face different situations… but it is our attitude that can change everything!
